Danny Brown Announces ‘Stardust’ LP w/”Starburst” Video & Tour Dates

The Detroit rap-legend & podcaster returns with his 7th studio album in February. Check out the glitched-out video for the first single & upcoming tour dates

We’ve been down with Danny Brown since he was still missing his two front teeth, but the Detroit-native turned a corner in 2016 with the release of his LP, Atrocity Exhibition. Borrowing its name from a Joy Division track, the album showcased dark, sometimes erratic beats, and an arsenal of dextrous, unorthodox flows that solidified Danny as one of the most versatile and forward-thinking artists in music — hip-hop, or otherwise. The themes were heavy, raw, and vulnerable. The subject matter, although regularly uncomfortable, remained sharp and affecting. That project was a visceral masterpiece that not everyone seemed to understand or connect with when it was released, but one that made its mark and garnered more recognition as years have passed. It was an extension of the artist who created it; layered, nuanced, and ahead of its time.

As a pioneering force in the world of electronic music, WARP Records might not be the first name you think of when it comes to rap and hip hop. For an artist as experimental and adventurous as Danny Brown, however, they’ve proven to be the perfect foundation for his boundaryless output. Just based on the only single we’ve heard from Danny‘s upcoming album, the critically acclaimed emcee and successful podcaster appears to be continuing to explore a similar left-field energy that he established on that first collaboration with the UK label nearly a decade ago. Scheduled for a February 2026 release, STARDUST marks Brown‘s first album written in sobriety, but he sounds as amped up and bugged out as ever. This newfound level of clarity can only make him more focused and capable.

Danny will be promoting STARDUST with a 21-date US tour. The LP is available for preorder on both digital and physical formats now.

The lead single “STARBURST” is now available on streaming platforms, but you can peep the glitched-out out music video for the song below followed by the tracklist a full schedule of tour dates.
