PREVIEW: “15 Years of Thinkspace” Group Exhibit @ Thinkspace Gallery [Culver City]

70 artists pay tribute to one of the most vital and consistent forces in the new contemporary art movement on their 15th anniversary,

Since its founding in 2005, Thinkspace Projects has remained a vital and consistent force in the New Contemporary Art Movement.  Operating from their gallery in Los Angeles County‘s Culver City arts district, Thinkspace continues to extend its reach, parntering with fellow galleries and entities that possess the like-minded aim of promoting both established, as well as new emerging talent in the field, across the globe.  Such ventures have found Thinkspace showcasing their roster and spreading visibility for the often marginalized work rooted in such areas as pop surrealism, low brow, pop culture in locations ranging from New York City, Detroit, and Chicago to Honolulu, Berlin, London, and Hong Kong.  While others have made similar attempts to leave their mark in the New Contemporary Art world, few have proven to have such longevity or impact.  We believe that this can be attributed to the fact that, beyond their own success and preservation, it’s clear that a genuine belief in the value of the work and the artists who produce it has been the driving force motivating Thinkspace‘s continued efforts.  Now, a solid decade-and-a-half into their existence, an impressive list of artists, including some of the most recognizable names in the industry, will be coming together to pay tribute to a gallery that has helped to put them on the map.

The 15 Years Of Thinkspace group exhibit opens this Saturday, January 11th, and will consist of 70 different artists working their respective magic on 15×15 inch custom wood panels from Trekell Art Supplies.  This is a celebration that we highly recommend for anyone that will be in the area and able to attend it.
