This Saturday, April 26th, a brand new group exhibition curated by Beautiful Bizarre Magazine will open at Corey Helford Gallery. Titled, Dreamland Awaits, this mark the 19th internationally curated exhibition for the Australian art publication, but only second in collaboration with the Los Angeles gallery, following the Secret Longings group show in 2023. The upcoming show welcomes over 100 of the top international visual artists working in the worlds of underground contemporary, pop-surrealism, and beyond to “[explore] the Dreamland Awaits theme through the lens of their unique lived experience and artistic styles ‒ while at the same time bringing the pages of Beautiful Bizarre Magazine to life.
Beautiful Bizarre Magazine’s Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Danijela Krha Purssey, offers the following insight.

“Dreamland Awaits explores the fleeting moments prior, during, or after dreaming. Where our mind is able to float freely, and imagination transforms our daily lives, experiences, and desires into stories that allow us to process our pleasure and pain. Artists are able to bring their dreamlands into the physical realm through their work and give the viewer a precious insight into the subconscious mind of the creative spirit.”

Participating artists include:
Adrian Cox, Alex Garant, Alexandra Manukyan, Andi Soto, Andrea du Plessis, Andrew Hem, Annie Montgomerie, Annie Stegg Gerard, Ben Frost, Bennett Slater, Brandi Milne, Brian Mashburn, Caia Koopman, Calvin Ma, Camilla d’Errico, Caroline Gaudreault, Charlie Immer, Chishi Morimura, Chloe Early, Chris Buzelli, Chris Guest, Clémentine Bal, Courtney Brims, Crystal Morey, Dan Lam, Deirdre Sullivan Beeman, Dena Seiferling, Denis Sarazhin, Dewi Plass, Ellen Jewett, Era Leisner, Erik Thor Sandberg, Erika Sanada, Ewa Prończuk-Kuziak, Felicia Chiao, Gina Matarazzo, Haejin Yoo, Handiedan, Hannah Flowers, Hikari Shimoda, Ian Francis, Ito Chieko, Jacqueline Butterworth, Jana Brike, Jason Mowry, Jeff Echevarria, Jess Currier, Jesús Aguado, John Walker, Jon Ching, Josh Keyes, Katie Gamb, Kelogsloops, Kent Williams, Kevin Foote, Kevin Sloan, Kim Slate, Korin Faught, Kseniia Boko, Laura Colors, Laurie Lee Brom, Lavely Miller, Li Shanmei, Lo Chan Peng, Lola Dupre, Maki Hino, Mao Hamaguchi, Marc Le Rest, Mary Jane Ansell, Messy Desk, Miho Hirano, Molly Devlin, Nadine Tralala, Naoto Hattori, Natalia Fabia, Natalie Featherston, Nicole Evans, Nicomi Nix Turner, Ornélie, Phoenix Chan, Rafael Silveira, Raul Guerra, Richard Ahnert, Rima Day, Roxanne Sauriol Hauenherm, Ryoko Kaneta, Stephanie Kilgast, Stephanie Rew, Sylvia Ji, Tamura Yoshiyasu, Tania Marmolejo, Tanja McMillan, Tarntara Sudadung, Tina Spratt, Tom Bagshaw, Travis Lampe, Travis Louie, Troy Brooks, Xue Wang, Yoko d’Holbachie, Yumiko Kayukawa, and Zoé Byland.
