Hey. Am I wrong on this one? I seem to remember "Shwill" (I guess that would be a form of "shwilly") being used to describe getting a taste of something.
" Hey! Hey, wait a second I brought my shwill spoon... Give me some of that!"
I just remember thinking how ridiculous that was once. That's not sanitary. Having one spoon to eat other people's food with? On top of that, it's just annoying. Go get your own damned Heady plate of beans.

Bongoh-

Obviously anything on the list would need to end in a "Y" sound so I guess schwaggy would work, however I would more often use the term schwag. It does work in various instances much like the word Janky however

Hey, I didn't read all these comments, but did someone mention 'schwag'? Or I guess is it, 'schwaggy'? Obviously when it comes to weed, it's used to describe some low-quality stuff. However, ever since I learned that word many years ago I've used it to note things that are pretty much crappy, shitty, bad, terrible, and just outright intolerable. Like, "Damn, that was a schwag ass movie.", or "This meatloaf tastes pretty schwaggy.", or "That dude is so schwagged out."

I mean, am I right or am I just a newb who happens to know the word and uses it beyond its scope in the lot scene? Feedback is appreciated.

Thank you Aanis for squirting out those suggestions. Seems fitting that you would mention words that have to do with getting "brown", a la WEEN. Anyway good stuff imposter.

And kyungfuji, you are right about the beard and dreadlocks. I enjoyed that descriptive example of appearance. As far as spunions are concerned, I guess they do have many similarities. But for a spunion to cause chaos equal to that of a wook, I would think that they have to be eating a lot of benzo's to go along with that L.
But then again, it's all about freaking out squares, and if it's good L, there's no reason that couldn't happen.

Great stuff here, I've heard almost all of them. Interesting about your definition of the word "wookie"; I've always known wookies to be so because of their wookie-like appearance (beard, dreads, etc..). I've never actually heard the connection with vowel pronunciation and actual speech. I have always known the type persons you described as "spunions".

Crunchy----> Used to describe funky grooves, bro-bra.
Tasty------->See Crunchy (almost WEEN exclusive, but any eastcoast jamband applies)

Wodie is derived from Wardy, made popular by the Geto Boys and then later bit by Master P and Cash Money Records to talk about either prison wards or the neighborhoods of New Orleans.

First off, thanks to all who have read this article and replied. We appreciate here at monsterfresh.com.

Now, that being said, I think that I need to clarify some things.

THIS DICTIONARY DEALS WITH WORDS AND PHRASES THAT SOUND LIKE THEY END IN Y AND ARE COMMONPLACE IN THE LOT. NOTHING ELSE. IF IT DOESNT SOUND LIKE IT HAS A "Y" AT THE END - IT AIN'T IN HERE.

Such great terminology like:

on the cuff
flip
and "hella" "mad" "wicked"

are therefore not included.

First of all the erowid dictionary and the urban dictionary are not sources I use. I think the erowid dictionary is nifty, but I thought a lot of the definitions they had for things were, well, wrong. Certainly not the definitions one might develop for a particular word if their only source was the "lot". It just glorifies drug names, and for this article we are dealing with the "lot" terminology, which includes much more than drugs.

The urban dictionary is all words deemed alternative and slang relating to any particular topic. Once again this is and was not a reference for me, and it deals with a broader, and therefore, not as concise a topic.

However, I will accept "fam-oly", for it does end in "Y", and fam-oly should be wholeheartedly represented and glorified. Having lived in Oly WA I just have to say, I miss the RANG DONG.

As far as general "family" and "grateful dead family" "phamily" - those should be included. "family prices" should be explained, possibly in the context of "family" or "phamily", but I question whether it meets the requirements of this dictionary, seeing how "family" precedes "prices".

If i were to make a straight up dictionary of ALL the lot terms, I doubt it could be finished. There are literally thousands of terms, and I fear I might permanently talk like a wook the rest of my life if I were so inclined to make one. The task would be far to daunting for a person with as short of an attention span as myself.

However, I might consider breaking it up into sections like "group", "marketing" and "derivatives", as you listed above, ba.

Mike- the only reason I didn't put townie in was because it is used so much in ski towns and some college campuses. But, it is used frequently on the lot and therefore should not be omitted. After all, "boobie" is the first word for chrissakes.

Conbot5000- your comments are always appreciated, brohemian brosephine.

ba- Thanks for all of your suggestions. You must be familiar with OLY, no? Big ups to you then.

Helena- Thank you very much for reading and commenting. It sounds as if you are perhaps, the "heady bitch". Once again, thanks

Wook- what would this site be without a wook? As you can see, wooks tend to speak in short bursts of singular grunts and sometimes words. Just like the above comment, which is something in between. Thank you wook for giving the masses a real life example of wook mumble. I also like your use of the word "reek". How ironic.

Ayahuasca Amanitas Cannabaceae - thank you for the suggestion, and no thanks as well.

I will be happy to take suggestions for other derivatives of this article, or new topics or dictionaries all together. In fact, I'd love it.

suggested definitions for round 2:
"family"
1.) as in group, ie. Grateful Dead Family
2.) as in marketing, ie. family prices, basically 'family _'
3.) derivatives, ie. fam-oly
of course how could you forget "hella", "mad" or "wicked" or the "Pharm Team"?

when in doubt check out http://www.urbandictionary.com/
